JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-04-2021 The present petition has been taken up for consideration through the mode of Video conferencing in view of the prevailing situation on account of COVID 19 Pandemic, requiring social distancing.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to make payment of arrears of salary to the petitioner for his

Patna High Court CWJC No.3336 of 2021(2) dt.08-04-2021 2/3 services utilized as Clerk in District Rural Development Agency, Munger, on contractual basis from 03.02.2014 to 31.12.2015 (22 months) amounting to Rs. 2,24,620/- (Rupees Two Lakh, Twenty-Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Twenty Only), along with interest in the light of the direction issued by the respondent no. 2 i.e. the Commissioner, (Self Employment), Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar as contained in Letter No. 161083 dated 27.08.2013 which was subsequently endorsed by the Managing Board of District Rural Development Agency, Munger in meeting dated 26.11.2018 as contained in No. 1509 dated 26.12.2018."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to approach the District Magistrate, Munger, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation before the District Magistrate, Munger, within a period of six weeks

Patna High Court CWJC No.3336 of 2021(2) dt.08-04-2021 3/3 from today whereupon the District Magistrate, Munger shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter and in case, any admitted outstanding dues of salary are found payable, the same would also be paid within the same time frame.
