The petitioner filed this petition for modification of the order dated 30.04.2014 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 19343 of 2014, by which the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail but the petitioner could not surrender in the court below within the stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner met with an accident, therefore, he could not surrender in the court below within four weeks.

It appears that the order was passed on 30.04.2014 but the petitioner kept mum and the petitioner filed this petition for modification to extend the period of his surrendering in the court on 08.08.2016 i.e. after more than 2 years and 3 months and no

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33663 of 2016 (2) dt.07-12-2016 2/2 plausible reason has been given in the petition for extension of time.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I do not find any merit in this petition. Accordingly, the same is dismissed. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J.) KKSINHA/- U T
