JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 11-01-2023 The present petition has been filed for modifying the order dated 25.06.2020, passed in Cr. Misc. no. 8880 of 2020 to the extent that the time granted to the petitioners to surrender before the learned court below be extended by two weeks from today.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are labourers and had gone to Punjab for earning their livelihood, where they had fallen sick after contracting Covid-19 infection, hence, they could not furnish the bail bond in time.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners as also considering the averments

No.71165 of 2022(2) dt.11-01-2023 2/2 made in the present petition, I deem it fit and appropriate to grant two weeks' further time to the petitioners to surrender before the learned court below for the purposes of being admitted to the privilege of anticipatory bail, however, rest of the conditions mentioned in the order dated 25.06.2020 shall remain as it is.

It is needless to state that in case, the petitioners do not surrender within a period of two weeks from today, the privilege granted to them vide order dated 25.06.2020 shall stand cancelled.

The present petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid modification in the order dated 25.06.2020, passed in Cr. Misc. no. 8880 of 2020.
