The petitioner is in custody in connection with Majhauliya P.S. Case No. 293 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 302, 448 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 16.09.2018.

Having regard to the nature of allegation and the materials available on record, the Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application is rejected.

However, the court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine months from today.
