JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 17-12-2018 Petitioners pray for bail in connection with Excise (Sherghati) Case No. 345 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(A) and 56(B) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Allegation is of recovery of 1800 litres of liquor from the vehicle of the petitioners and they were arrested there. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioners is that they have falsely been implicated in this case and they are in custody since 14.9.2018, having no criminal antecedent. Heard learned APP also.

Having heard both sides and in view of recovery of huge quantity of liquor, I am not inclined to grant bail to the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.73849 of 2018(2) dt.17-12-2018 2/2 petitioners. Prayer for bail is rejected.

However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of five months. If trial is not concluded within the said period, petitioners may renew their prayer for bail.

With the above observation, this application is dismissed.
