====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 12-04-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner seeks regular bail in registered for the offences punishable under sections 386, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 66C of the IT Act.

As per the prosecution case, unidentified accused persons used to demand extortion money of Rs.5 lacs from the informant and his manager. Vulgar posts were also sent to the the informant on the Facebook by the accused persons. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. As a matter of fact, earlier petitioner was manager in the Hotel of the informant and when he demanded his dues, informant lodged a false case of extortion against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is specific and direct allegation against the petitioner that he used to demand extortion money from the informant on the Whats app. He had also created fake account on the Facebook and was posting vulgar posts against the informant. During investigation it has come that the mobile phone number used in demanding extortion money from the informant was belonging to the petitioner. Several witnesses have supported the prosecution case during investigation. Considering the nature of accusation and materials available on the records against the petitioner, his prayer for bail is refused.
