Petitioner's prayer for bail in a case registered under Section 396 of Indian Penal Code was earlier rejected by this Court by order dated 03.05.2018 passed in Cr Misc No 17528 of 2018.

Petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail relying upon grant of bail to co-accused Saheb by a coordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 11.10.2018 passed in Cr Miscellaneous No 60305 of 2018.

This Court would find that bail had been granted since the name of Saheb had been taken by the instant petitioner in his confessional statement without stating any participation of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.72527 of 2018(2) dt.02-01-2019 2/2 said co-accused Saheb. In so far as the instant petitioner is concerned, it has been found in course of investigation that his mobile phone was used for making ransom call from the family members of Subodh Kumar, deceased who has died due to firearm injuries.

Considering the serious allegation against the petitioner, prayer for bail is rejected.
