The petitioner, in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition, has sought, inter alia, the following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:- "(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ directing the respondents to shift the date of promotion of the petitioner to the post of University professor English Department Bhupendra Mandal University 1.6.1985 Laloo Nagar Madhepura to 1.6.1985 after A rectification as he was eligible for the post above mentioned on this date.

(ii) For declaration that Petitioner is entitled to Promotion to the aforesaid Post of the University Professor English Department, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University Laloo Nagar Madhepura with effect from 1.6.1985 (iii) For direction upon the respondents to extend the Consequential benefit to the petitioner.

(iv) For any other relief(s) order(s) to which the Petitioner may be found entitled in the facts and Circumstances of the Case."

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submitted that petitioner, who is a retired professor, is aggrieved by the action of the University, in respect of his entitlement on the post of University Professor English Department and in that regard the petitioner has already filed representation before the Registrar of the University. The present writ petition was filed during Covid-19 pandemic.

4. Considering the above, the Register of the University is directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner, in accordance with law and pass a reasoned order, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
