In this case, petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Alamnagar P.S. Case No. 44 of 2016 registered for offence under sections 323, 341, 504/34 I.P.C. and section 3(1-X) of the SC/ST (POA) Act.

The counsel for the petitioners has stated that except the offence alleged for SC/ST (POA) Act, rest sections of the Indian Penal Code are bailable and further stated that in the first information report no where the particular person has been identified, who has abused the informant by his caste name.
