2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302, 201 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

As per prosecution case, it is alleged that this petitioner, who happens to be brother-in-law of informant, had illicit relations with one Urmila Devi due to which dispute was going on between this petitioner and his wife (sister of informant) and eventually, she was killed by this petitioner and his family members.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.54190 of 2025(2) dt.21-08-2025 2/3 behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has committed no offence. Petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case merely because he happens to be husband of the deceased. Marriage of deceased was solemnized with this petitioner 10 years ago and there was no complaint with regard to any torture or harassment. It s further submitted that the alleged incident took place on 19.07.2023, however, the present F.I.R. has been lodged after inordinate delay of more than five months on 04.01.2024 and there is no plausible explanation for the same. As a matter of fact, over a petty dispute, a quarrel took place between the petitioner and the deceased and in anger, she committed suicide. Petitioner claims clean antecedents.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and submitted that petitioner is husband of the deceased and there is specific accusation that due to illicit relations with one Urmila Devi, this petitioner, along with other F.I.R. named accused persons, killed sister of informant. The deceased died unnatural death at her matrimonial house.
