Petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) and 37(a)(b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

About 11 litres of foreign liquor was recovered from the house of petitioner no. 2-Badal Sahani. Petitioners have stated on oath that they have got no criminal antecedent. Allegation is that all the petitioners were involved in the business of liquor. Petitioners are in custody since 04.06.2019. Investigation of the case is already complete against the petitioners.

No.50289 of 2019(2) dt.22-08-2019 2/2 Hence, let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail, who have got no criminal antecedent, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Bettiah Muffasil Police Station Case No. 296 of 2019, subject to the following conditions:- (a) The petitioners shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the learned court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioners.

(b) Both the bailors shall be resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below.
