2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Janta Bazar P.S. Case No. 136 of 2025 for the offences registered under Sections 308(5) and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, petitioner along with other co-accused and three unknown persons armed with weapon came near the informant, who was sitting on his chimney, and demanded Rs. 10 lacs as extortion. They also abused and threatened to kill the informant and his son as well as his Munshi if the extortion money is not paid within two to three days.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.51739 of 2025(2) dt.11-08-2025 2/2 case. There is no specific allegation against the petitioner regarding demand of extortion and abuse as alleged. Petitioner has a pond in his land near the Chimney of the informant and due to objection to digging of the soil, this false case has been lodged by the informant against the petitioner. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent. He is in judicial custody since 17.06.2025. Petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the trial.

5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the submissions made on behalf of the parties, facts and circumstances of the case and accusation against the petitioner, let the petitioner, named above, be enlarged on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Ms. Sugam Kumari, J.M., Chapra/concerned Court in connection with Janta Bazar P.S.
