Petitioner is in custody in connection with Excise Case No. 18 of 2018, Special Case No. 1200 of 2018 for the alleged offence under 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 06.10.2018 in connection with seizure of 63.750 liters of Royal Stag English Wine. He further submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and the seizure was only empty formality and has been falsely implicated in the case. The vehicle from which the contraband was seized does not belong to the petitioner.
