Patna High Court CWJC No.12228 of 2023(2) dt.08-01-2024 2/3 for being appointed on Class-IV post in the office of Executive Engineer, Consolidated Planning and Research, Irrigation Department, Chapra by the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra vide Memo No. 289 dated 13.02.1991 while the persons recommended for other Departments were appointed immediately, the petitioner had waited till 1995 for being appointed.

II. For necessary direction upon the Respondent Authorities to fix the salary and other benefits taking into account the service of the Petitioner with effect from March 1991 and pay the differential amount of salary and other benefits."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Chief Engineer, Rural Works Department-3, Patna i.e. the respondent no. 5, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case the petitioner approaches the Chief Engineer, Rural Works Department-3, Patna by filing appropriate

Patna High Court CWJC No.12228 of 2023(2) dt.08-01-2024 3/3 representation, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be disposed off by a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
