The present writ application has been filed for necessary direction to the respondents to provide security and bodyguard to the petitioner considering the threat on the life of the petitioner for the reasons mentioned in the writ application.

It appears that in the past, two bodyguards were provided to the petitioner by the State-respondents. In the year 2015 one of them was recalled vide Annexure-3. Thereafter, there is no order of recall of the remaining bodyguard. However, the said remaining bodyguard has informed to the petitioner that the authority wants to withdraw him. Thereafter, petitioner filed a representation for consideration of his security matter which was considered by the

WJC No.967 of 2017 dt.04-12-2017 2/2 appropriate committee headed by the Inspector General of Police (Security), Bihar and vide Annexure-B to the counter affidavit which is letter dated 21.06.2017, the Superintendent of Police, Siwan has informed the petitioner to deposit cost of the security and after receipt of a report regarding perception of threat on the petitioner necessary decision would be taken.

The respondents are directed to take appropriate decision at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observation, this writ application stands disposed of.
