In this case, a short grievance has been raised with regard to non-registration of car being CHEVROLET TAVERA NEO 3 MAX AMBULANCE (M).
The petitioner has applied for registration before the
Patna High Court CWJC No.8953 of 2017 dt.12-10-2017 District Transport Officer, Patna but, till date, the vehicle, in question, has not been registered which caused a heavy financial loss as well as purpose of purchase of the vehicle is defeated as he cannot take out the vehicle on the road.
In the counter affidavit, a statement has been made in paragraph no.10 which is as follows:- "10. That, however, under such circumstances, if the petitioner apply afresh with proper documents and payment of the taxes and fees, for getting registration of such vehicle, the same shall be considered within a reasonable period."
In view of the statement made by the District Transport Officer, Patna, let the petitioner should file all the requisite documents along with fee or taxes, whatever he has to pay should be deposited within a period of three weeks from today. If the petitioner files an application for registration within a period of three weeks or thereafter, whatever defects are found therein will be informed to the petitioner within a period of one week thereafter and after removal of the defects, he will issue registration number of the vehicle, in question, within a period of two weeks thereafter. In failure to complete the process in the manner mentioned herein above, this Court will treat the action to be a contempt of Court and this Court will take a very serious view of the matter.
