This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 448, 323, 325 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner and others named accused is that they dragged the informant from the house and bitterly assaulted causing different fracture injuries. Submission of the petitioner is that allegation against the petitioner is that he was simply holding the victim at the time of assault.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 145 of 2016 pending before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif. The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Birendra Kumar, J) SA/- U √ T √
