The petitioners are residents of Hilsa in the district of Nalanda at Biharsharif. Petitioner, Manjeet Raj, is resident of Shiv Colony, Patel Nagar, Hilsa, Nalanda at Biharsharif, and Neha Raj, is resident of Kaushik Nagar, Hilsa, Nalanda at Biharsharif. Both are majors vide enclosed certificates and both have voluntarily married with each other. After marriage they perceive danger to their lives at the hands of respondents 6 and 7 and have prayed for protection of their fundamental right of peaceful and dignified life and liberty.

The learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioners have never approached to the State authorities ventilating their grievance and if their only grievance is of protection of their life and liberty, this writ application may be disposed off with direction to respondent no. 5, the Superintendent of Police, Nalanda at Biharsharif, and respondent no. 6, the

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.1006 of 2017 (2) dt.12-07-2017 2/2 Officer-in-Charge, Hilsa Police Station, Nalanda at Biharsharif, to provide appropriate security to the petitioners. Accordingly, it is directed that respondents 5 and 6 shall take all appropriate step(s) for proper security of life and liberty of the petitioners against any intruders on their rights. With these observations and directions, this writ application stands disposed off.
