The writ application had been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the arrears of pension from November, 2014

Patna High Court CWJC No.14961 of 2015 dt.14-12-2015 2/2 which had been stopped.

Learned counsel for the University submits that as per the instructions received by him, it is the Bank which had stopped payment on the ground that the petitioner had not submitted her life certificate which is a necessary formality every year for continuation of pension. It is submitted that the day the petitioner submits such life certificate, pension shall be restored within one week. It is further submitted that the life certificate has to be submitted by the petitioner directly to the respondent no. 6 without there being any role of the University.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed off with liberty to the petitioner to submit the life certificate before the respondent no. 6. If the same is so done, the respondent no. 6 shall ensure that the pension of the petitioner is started within one week of submission of the said life certificate and further that all arrears are also paid to her within the same period.

As suggested by learned counsel for the University to facilitate the matter, once the petitioner submits her life certificate before the respondent no. 6, she may also communicate such fact to the University so that they can follow-up the matter. (Ahsanuddin Amanullah, J) Anjani/- U
