JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 04-01-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite an application having been filed for arm licence by him in the year 2012 itself, no decision has been taken as yet by the licensing authority who happens to be the District Magistrate, Patna. It is contended on behalf of the State that the licensing authority has fixed 11.01.2016 as the date upon which a final decision would be taken by it.
Be that as it may, since the application is pending since long let the same be finally disposed of on its own merit and in accordance with law on 11.01.2016 or within a period of four
Patna High Court CWJC No.16077 of 2015 (2) dt.04-01-2016 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order after granting reasonable opportunity to the petitioner as per the procedure laid down in the relevant statute.
