The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence under Sections 302, 201, 120(B) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64213 of 2021(3) dt.15-04-2022 2/2 dragged in this case only because he is father of Sangita Kumari, with whom, there was love-affair of son of the informant. There is no eye-witness of the alleged occurrence. Petitioner claims clean antecedent and he is in custody since 02.09.2020. Chargesheet has been submitted.

However, learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the bail petition and submitted that it is a case of 'honour killing'. Petitioner is none else but father of the girl, with whom, there was love-affair of son of the informant and during course of investigation, ample evidence has been collected against this petitioner showing his involvement in the crime. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as serous nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and same is, accordingly, rejected.
