JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 05-12-2022 After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 5.7.2021, passed by the learned District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, whereby and whereunder the arms license of the petitioner bearing Arms License No. 2/2015 has been cancelled, by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate appeal is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered on merits by the Appellate Authority and a reasoned

Patna High Court CWJC No.19013 of 2021(2) dt.05-12-2022 2/2 and a speaking order shall be passed thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

It is further observed that in case, the appeal of the petitioner is allowed, he would be at liberty to approach the learned Court of 8th Additional Sessions Judge, Rohtas at Sasaram for release of his rifle.

The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
