Petitioner applied for participation in what is known as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) of Under-Graduate Examination, 2016, held by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
The petitioner while filling up the details online, declared himself to be belonging to general category. Result has been declared. With 129 marks he has failed to make the cut in the general category. Now after all the exercise is over, the admissions have been granted on the basis of the said declared result, the petitioner wants to alter his status from a general category candidate to an OBC.
Patna High Court CWJC No.17666 of 2016 dt.20-12-2016 2/2 The reason for such a demand is obvious, because the cut-off for OBC is 118.
The changes cannot be made at this belated hour, nor can this Court give a direction for permitting such changes after the results have been announced and after the admissions have been completed and closed.
The effort of the petitioner is futile. Writ application has no merit, it is dismissed.
