The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Majorganj P.S.Case No. 202 of 2016 registered under Sections 385 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code. Considering the gravity of the offence and the fact that name of the petitioner transpired in course of investigation coupled with the fact that he is accused in at least half a dozen cases of serious nature, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail. Accordingly, the application for grant of pre-arrest bail is rejected. In case the petitioner surrenders and seeks bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced in any manner by this order.
