The husband of the petitioner, who worked as Switch Board Operator, Electrical with the respondent / Transmission Company, died on 09.10.2018.

Patna High Court CWJC No.15419 of 2019(2) dt.02-08-2019 2/3 Several representations preferred by the petitioner who is the widow of the employee have gone unheeded up till date.

The petitioner, it has been urged is required to be considered for compassionate appointment for saving the family from destitution because of the death of the only earning member of her family.

Under the aforesaid circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file a suitable representation before the General Manager (H.R. / Adm), South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, Vidyut Bhawan Patna (Respondent No. 3), within a period of four weeks, who, on receipt of such representation, shall, in view of the policy / scheme prevalent in the Company, if any, consider the case of the petitioner in proper perspective. Necessary order shall be passed within the parameters of law as well as looking at the entitlement of the petitioner, within a period of ten weeks of the receipt of such representation by the petitioner. The aforesaid time-line has been fixed by this Court for the reason that the deceased employee has left behind a son

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
