The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 84 of 2015 registered under sections 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Regard being had to the recovery of 81.5 quintals of subsidized rice of Food Corporation of India from the room of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for grant of anticipatory bail is rejected.

In case the petitioner surrenders and seeks anticipatory bail, the same shall be considered on its own merits without being prejudiced in any manner by this order.
