Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Mohania P.S. Case No. 385 of 2016 registered under Sections498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation against the petitioner, who is the husband of the informant, is of torture and assault for meeting out the demand of dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner always kept the informant with honour. It is further submitted that informant has falsely implicated petitioner and his family members.

Considering the nature of allegation levelled

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.49678 of 2016 (2) dt.19-12-2016 against the petitioner, I do not feel inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. His prayer for grant of anticipatory bail is, therefore, rejected.
