====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 15-04-2025 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8(C), 20 and 25 of the N.D.P.S. Act.
3. As per prosecution case, 833.800 Kilograms of Ganja was recovered from a truck of which this petitioner is registered owner.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has committed no offence. No incriminating article has been

It is further submitted that co-accused person, who was apprehended at the spot, has categorically stated that the consignment was loaded by someone else and petitioner, being owner of the truck, has got no concerned with the allegedly recovered contraband. Petitioner claims clean antecedents.
5. On the other hand, learned counsel for the Union of India has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and submitted that huge quantity of contraband has been recovered from a truck of which this petitioner is registered owner.
6. Considering the nature of accusation and fact that huge quantity of contraband has been recovered from a truck of which this petitioner is registered owner, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) shashank/- U T
