This is an application for bail in connection with Bishambharpur P.S.Case No. 59 of 2016, corresponding to Trial No. 37 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 18 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act.
Allegation against the petitioner is that on his discloser ganja has been recovered from co-accused. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that due to political rivalry between Mukhiya he has been implicated in this case and nothing has been recovered from his conscious possession and he is in custody since 24.12.2016 and he has no criminal antecedent.

Having heard both sides and considering the fact that there is recovery of 4 kg. ganja, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it preferably within a period of one year. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
