Pursuant to the earlier order of this Court not only a supplementary show cause reply has been filed but a cheque showing payment of Rs.9,98,935/- has been produced. Let the cheque produced today be handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Having regard to the directions given by this Court in the connected writ application and the aforementioned development this contempt application now has become infructuous and is, accordingly, disposed of.

It goes without saying that if such payment to the petitioner had to be made on account of laches/ misconduct on the
