2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Basantpur(LNG) P.S. Case No. 254 of 2025 dated 30.04.2025 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 80 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
3. The allegation against the petitioner and other accused persons is that they tortured the daughter of the informant for five lakh rupees as additional dowry. It is alleged that on 29.04.2025, the daughter of the informant was killed by her in-laws.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.52805 of 2025(3) dt.15-11-2025 2/3 petitioner is innocent and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased. It is submitted that from perusal of the F.I.R., it is apparent that on the alleged date of occurrence, the deceased asked her father to take her back but he refused to do so, due to which she committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan. From the inquest report, the police also reported that the case is of suicidal death. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after marriage, no allegation with regard to the demand of dowry or any torture has been lodged by the informant side. There is no material against the petitioner which connects her to this case. Lastly, it has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 30.04.2025 having no criminal antecedents. Charge-sheet has been submitted in the case.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate,
