The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and 27 of Arms Act. It is contended on behalf of petitioner that no specific role has been assigned to the petitioner. He has simply been named as the member of the mob. It is claimed that petitioner is having clean antecedents and other similarly situated coaccused have already been granted bail.
