The petitioner seeks bail in Minapur P.S. Case No. 244 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 379 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 25(1-b) A, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act.

The petitioner is not named in the FIR. The police registered a case against Shashi Kumar Chaudhary after recovery of a motorcycle as the motorcycle was in the name of Shashi Kumar Chaudhary. The petitioner was apprehended and he is said to have confessed his guilt but nothing has been recovered in confession of the petitioner. The investigating officer did not collect any further material. The petitioner is in jail since 20.10.2016.
