The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No.17 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner alongwith other co-accused persons are said to have tortured O.P. No.2 physically and mentally for nonfulfillment of demand of additional dowry. Petitioner and O.P. No.2 are personally present in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.54636 of 2022(7) dt.05-04-2023 2/2 Court today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to keep his wife with full honour and dignity at his place of posting.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of O.P. No.2 submits that O.P. No.2 is also ready to live with her husband together at his place of posting.

Taking into consideration the submissions of the parties, let petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gaya in connection with Mahila P.S.
