The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Parsa Bazar P.S. Case No. 60 of 2017 arising out of Special Case No.02 of 2017 registered under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Regard being had to the recovery of 227 quintals subsidized rice from the godown under the control of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail. The application is rejected.
