JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 09-11-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the State. It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioner no.1 has filed an application for grant of arms licence for revolver in the year 2011, however, no decision has been taken by the licensing authority as yet. It is contended that the petitioner no.2 happens to be her father-in-law who wants to transfer his firearm in her favour and, thus, she has filed an application for grant of licence.

In above view of the matter, this writ application is

Patna High Court CWJC No.17186 of 2015 (2) dt.09-11-2015 2 / 2 being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cumLicensing Authority, East Champaran to take a decision upon the petitioner's application in accordance with law and also in terms of the Family Heirloom Policy of the Government of India within two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
