The petitioners, invoking writ jurisdiction of this court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, have prayed for directing the authority concerned for release of their tractor and trailer which were seized in connection with a forest case. In this case a counter affidavit has been filed, wherein it has been indicated that after the seizure of the vehicles, which were involved in commission of offences under the Indian Forest Act, 1927 same was finally confiscated on 19.4.2002 itself.

Patna High Court CWJC No.23997 of 2013 (3) dt.07-08-2015 2/2 Though, the confiscation order was passed in the year 2002, the petitioners have approached this court in the year 2013. I do not find any ground to pass any positive order. The writ petition stands dismissed.
