For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Sanjay Sinha For the Opposite Party/s : Mr. Rama Kant Sharma (L.O,I/C Vigi) ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RAMESH KUMAR DATTA ORAL ORDER 17-11-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special P.P., Vigilance.
The petitioner prays for anticipatory bail in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 30/2006 for the offences under Sections 420,465,468,471A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13(1) (d) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act which has been registered as Special Case No. 6 of 2006.
The petitioner had earlier applied for anticipatory bail in Cr. Misc. No. 12172 of 2007 which was rejected by order dated 10.4.2007. The rejection order deals with the facts and allegations against the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13283 of 2015 (2) dt.17-11-2016 2/2 show as to any further developments in the matter which would entitle the petitioner to the grant of anticipatory bail, rather it appears that the petitioner after rejection of the anticipatory bail has again sought anticipatory bail before this Court simply to delay the trial.
In the aforesaid circumstances, this Court does not see any reason to take a different view in the matter. The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, accordingly, rejected.
