JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 14-03-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent no. 1 to dispose of Insurance Claim Case No. 339 of 2001 by allowing the insurance claim of the petitioner for his tractor which was damaged in an accident while the tractor was fully insured by respondent no. 1.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his Claim Case No. 339 of 2001 in connection with his tractor having met with an accident, which despite lapse of several years, remains pending as evident from information received in terms of letter dated 04.01.2011 in which the respondent-Insurance Company expressed that information in connection with the claim case was being gathered which was expected to take one or two months' time. 3. None appears on behalf of the respondent-Insurance Company nor on behalf of the respondent-State Bank of India when the matter is called.

Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Branch Manager, Oriental Insurance Company Limited, Zonal Office, Aghoria Bazar, Muzaffarpur (respondent no. 1) to consider the claim of the petitioner and dispose of Claim Case No. 339 of 2001, if still pending, expeditiously and in any event preferably within six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
