The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Makhdumpur (Tehta) P.S. Case No.41 of 2018 registered under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the amount mentioned in the cheque has already been returned to the informant, but a false and fabricated case has been instituted in order to coerce and blackmail the petitioner. Be that as it may, considering the nature of allegation made in the first information wherein it is alleged that the cheques issued by the petitioner got dishonoured on their presentation

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26195 of 2018 (2) dt.03-05-2018 2/2 before the bank, in the event of arrest or surrender in the court below within six weeks from today, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jehanabad in connection with Makhdumpur (Tehta) P.S.
