2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Ballia P.S. Case No. 141 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 409, 420 and 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The petitioner and others who were doing the duty of depositing cash in the ATM machine are said to have defalcated Rs. 11,62,800/-. The petitioner is in jail since 01.06.2024. The case is of the year 2017. The petitioner is an absconder.

4. Learned APP appearing for the State opposes the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

5. Considering the serious allegation levelled against

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57712 of 2024(2) dt.21-08-2024 2/2 the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner is an absconder, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this application stands dismissed.
