Petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Wazirganj P.S.Case No. 146 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 385, 379, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is of demanding extortion from the informant and there is also allegation against Paras Singh for snatching Rs.70,000/-.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that there is case and counter case between the parties and as a matter of fact petitioner gave Rs.2,50,000/- for purchase of gold ornaments in connection with marriage of his nephew but the informant had not supplied the same and the present false and

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23298 of 2018 (2) dt.19-04-2018 2/2 concocted case has been lodged against him.

Heard learned APP also.

Having heard both sides and in view of allegation and also in view of the fact that petitioner has criminal antecedents also, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. However, petitioner should surrender and make prayer for regular bail, which shall be considered on the basis of materials available on record.
