Petitioner is an accused in a case registered for offence punishable under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is of torture and harassment relating to demand of motorcycle and other articles. Submission is that marriage was solemnized more than 14 years back and the petitioner as per the Muslim Personal Law divorced his wife and thereafter this case was instituted and he has been in custody since 15.11.2016.

Having considered the said facts and circumstances,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9340 of 2017 (2) dt.23-02-2017 2 / 2 let the petitioner, namely, Md. Afroz be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-XIV, Vaishali at Hajipur, in connection with Complaint Case No.3869 of 2012.
