Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Nardiganj P.S. Case No. 173 of 2015 for the offence punishable under Section 366(a)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since, 10.12.2015. From the impugned order, it appears that the trial has proceeded and the evidence of informant and other witnesses have been recorded. The statement of the victim girl, I.O. and the Doctor is yet to be recorded.

This Court, therefore, is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, at this stage.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14666 of 2017 (3) dt.11-05-2017 2/2 The bail petition is disposed of with a direction to the court below to conclude the trial of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of this order by giving short adjournments.

The Superintendent of Police, Nawada is directed to produce the witnesses in the case on priority basis so that the trial is concluded within the aforesaid period of nine months. The petitioner is granted liberty to renew his prayer for bail in the court below itself, in the event the trial is not concluded within nine months, the court below will give reasons for not concluding the trial within the aforesaid period. Let a copy of this order be transmitted/sent to the Superintendent of Police, Nawada, for its strict compliance. (Sanjay Priya, J) Ranjan/- U
