JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 08-01-2015 Petitioner no.1 is the Secretary of Madhu Self help group, Fisheries, Ekma village Ekma, police station Hathuri, district Muzaffarpur and petitioner no.2 is the Secretary of Ramari Self help group, Fisheries, Ekma. These groups consist of all women members.

The petitioners submit that on 31.3.2008 they had taken loan of Rs.2,50,000/- each by Bedoul Asli Branch of United Bank of India, Muzaffarur. However, due to heavy rain and flood in Bagmati river, their fisheries work was badly affected. They also made representation before the Collector for

Patna High Court CWJC No.15154 of 2010 (4) dt.08-01-2015 2/2 payment of compensation and filed application before the bank for waiving the interest portion of the loan. Learned counsel for the petitioners, referring to paragraph 7 of the counter affidavit filed by respondents no.3,5 and 6, submits that the BDO, Aurai after having due enquiry and finding the assertion of petitioners to be correct, made a request to the Branch manager, UBI Bedoul Asli Branch to provide financial assistance at its own level to the petitioners to re-stand and to re-start their business. In case, the petitioners file a fresh representation before the Collector, Muzaffapur he would dispose of the claim of the petitioners for compensation within two months from the date of receipt of this order.

It will be open for petitioners to file a petition before the bank which would duly consider their claim in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
