The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Dhamdaha P.S. Case No.229 of 1998 registered under Section 396 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the gravity of the offence as also the fact that since 1998 the petitioner, who is named in the first information report, was absconding and has also been involved in a case of robbery, I am not inclined to grant him bail. The application is rejected.
