JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 06-12-2018 The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 07.08.2014, passed by the Hon'ble Member, Bihar Human Rights Commission, Patna in Case No. 574 of 2011, whereby his claim for compensation for being out of job for several years without any fault on his part has been rejected.

2. It appears from the record that the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.1385 of 2016 dt.06-12-2018 2/3 was an L.I.C. agent and on the expiry of term of his agency, he did not take appropriate steps for its renewal. It is the case of the petitioner that when he went for renewal of his licence before the Branch Manager of the concerned L.I.C. Branch, he was misbehaved with by the Branch Manager.

The stand of the Life Insurance Corporation of India is that within the statutory period for getting a licence renewed, the petitioner had not approached the concerned authority and later, on the asking of the petitioner, his application along with a fee of Rs. 1,000/- was sent to the office of the I.R.D.A., the nodal agency.

4. Today, the position is that the licence of the petitioner has been renewed. The Branch Manager, who had misbehaved with the petitioner, has also apologized to him for his having lost his temper on the petitioner.

5. These aspects were taken into account by the Hon'ble Member, Bihar Human Rights Commission and the prayer for grant of compensation, for the period that the petitioner remained without a valid licence to pursue his vocation, was rejected.

6. No good ground has been made out by the learned counsel for the petitioner for interfering with the aforesaid order of the Hon'ble Member, Bihar Human Rights Commission which has been impugned in the present petition.
