The petitioner seeks bail in Bithan P.S. case No. 128 of 2016 under Section 25(1-B) A and 26 of the Arms Act. The police apprehend the petitioner and from his possession one loaded country made pistol was recovered. Sri Abhimanyu Sharma, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that petitioner is in jail since 31.10.2016 but it appears that the petitioner has got criminal antecedent and as many as five cases are pending against him.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

The petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after remaining seven months in custody.
