This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Banka P.S.Case No.71 of 2017for the offences under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a)/35(c) of Bihar Excise Prohibition & Excise At, 2016. The allegation against the petitioners is that one Car was intercepted and a huge quantity of liquor was recovered from that Car.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they are Driver and Helper of the Vehicle and nothing to do with the seized articles. The seized artless belongs to one co-accused person and the petitioners have no knowledge about the seized articles.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20764 of 2017 (2) dt.09-05-2017 2/2 Heard learned A.P.P. also, who has opposed the prayer for bail.

Having heard both sides and in view of allegation as well as recovery of huge quantity of liquor, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of six months and if not concluded, the petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
