JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-08-2019 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to remove the encroachment over the canal of Irrigation Department near Manpur Railway Station of Chanan Block, Lakhisarai, which has been encroached by the local people.

This Court is of the opinion that in case the petitioner is seeking removal of encroachment from the public land, he has to approach the Circle Officer, Chanar, Lakhisarai for redressal of his grievance under the provisions of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act,
